Copy+pasting anything from a PM is against the rules. Role revealing is not. You didn't copy+paste a PM, so I thought the entire argument you should be modkilled was dead on arrival. The rule says not to copy+paste a PM. You didn't copy+paste a PM. So you weren't punished.

I already warned someone earlier in the thread for copy+pasting a very small part of their role. The obvious conclusion was that Manny was lying and didn't copy+paste anything, not that I just wasn't applying the rules to him. That conclusion was offensive and I deserve an apology for it. @SinRaven

Because part of being a host is working with your plays and being generous toward them, not dropping the hammer at the slightest opportunity because "we're supposed 2 be roleplaying our rolez!!!"

Honestly a stupid ass argument and I'm irritated by everyone who advanced it.

Anyways, back to this action that's about to happen.
 
As a final note I would like to add that I was the only person looking out for the health of my own game. Some of you would have me ruin it with modkills based on the principle alone. Manny's actions had no negative consequences, so they were not met with any consequences. You really need to look at this rationally and reason through it, not tout some ideal about how we're supposed to be "s0 immerzed in our r0lez!!!" and Manny somehow ruined that.

Other players have legitimately broken rules by accident earlier in the thread. If I modkilled Manny for something so inconsequential, I'd have to modkill everyone who actually violated a rule in some way, and there we have a ruined game.

It was so hilariously ironic when players began violating the rule about not talking about the game outside the thread to complain about Manny not breaking a rule in the convo thread. Really exposed yourselves for your lack of reasoning there.

No, several players accused me of having no integrity as a host and not enforcing my rules on players I like. It actually got bad enough that it spilled over from here into the convo thread. And what we're not gonna do is question my basic integrity in hosting a game.

I didn't get pissed off until I realized players were discussing it in the convo thread without even tagging me. That's when I dropped the hammer.

Ya but u could have just said take all issues with me via pm

Keeps the shit fest out of the thread, u can clarify stuff if need be and we don't get three pages of the host and players arguing imo
 
I still think the rules could've been communicated much much better

It should be obvious when someone is paraphrasing and not copying a role and changing some words around. Whether or not WAD's actions affected the game is irrelevant because that'd be akin to saying it's okay to try to rob someone if you don't succeed.

The problem is that people were unsure if WAD was able to abuse a technicality or just BSing, and that's a failure on the hosts part

I already literally warned someone earlier in the thread for posting like 4 consecutive words from a PM

so if you didn't conclude that based on that Manny would have been modkilled in 5 seconds if even 1/5 of his post was legit, then you are just not paying attention

I had nothing to do with that, stop it

No you know what Manny, I'm glad I got to see people break the rules to go and complain in another thread about you allegedly breaking the rules. I'm glad I got to watch those people argue you should be modkilled for fake-breaking a rule while ignoring they would also be modkilled for actually breaking an actual rule. This will go down as one of the stupidest things that has ever happened to me in my entire life, and I thank you for the memory.
