"Im voting along with Blaze because he knows his shit!"
that classic mafia newb mistake #1 :catskully

That game was a crash course on how to play as scum for me. I think I even NL’d at first. :dead

I thought I argued against my lynch pretty well after my initial missteps, but doesn’t matter cuz Blaze flexed his King dick. :dead

My next game as scum I was Godfather in a Bleach game, and earned my first MVP. :aizen

I never said he did, i said his vote flipping could be him whether or not to bus.

There was no chance a newbie would play like this as scum in his 2nd or 3rd game, if he would've been scum then he changed his scum meta very good :dank

TBH Dr. White was defending the wrong people just like DDL.

I also expected more from him, considering he's a veteran player and as a miller you have no reason to fear getting killed.

DDL has apparently a very active and straight forward town meta, or at least as scum he plays different :catthinks

Any links? I even finished your LoL game...i felt sad for that...3 scum of the same team were modkilled at the fucking same time for not posting :dafuq

I suspect this game was screwed by the format. Town benefits way more than having a single classic ability than mafia. That's why in role madness mafia has a zillion abilities like super kills and all forms of creative anti-town abilities. And town has a lot of abilities that look cool but are actually less strong than a vanilla cop (mass roleblockers and stuff). In other words, role madness with many abilities may be easier to balance. You give mafia the actual broken stuff, while giving town stuff that looks broken but isn't.

But this was a role madness that was advertised as a generic game. It gave mafia the usual abilities for a vanilla game, but gave town double the number of abilities since there were no vanilla roles. So town ended up being stronger. And since Nitty wanted to stick to the classic roles, he probably ended up using too many classic roles that are actually uber strong in a 16 player game (cop, masons, etc)

I tried to be clear in the signups thread that this wasn't a generic game, just vanilla in theme with (mostly) traditional roles. I'm sorry if I misused the term.

I didn't expect the public revelation of the lie detector to be contentious. I expected the ability to be high risk/high reward, because if it had cleared Melodie that could have skewed things in favor of mafia. Nevan using it to catch mafia day one was not what I expected. I also think Darth's role is being overlooked. A double voting vote silencer can influence the lynch by 3 votes, which seemed like a lot against 12 townies.

If I were to rebalance the game, I would make Coco's superkill faction wide so that anyone in the faction could access at any time and then give Coco a second passive to the tracker in addition to the lie detector. That should balance the game, but if not the next thing I would look at would probably be changing either the cop or tracker.

Kind of disappointed that things didn't work out where I would get killed off early to make the most use of my role.

Ghost roles OP for me.

Seeing you and WAD both roll town and both live past night 2 was surprising, lol.

I relied on the unreliability of the tracker to balance that role. However, the tracker becomes increasingly more reliable as the mafia are eliminated. It was extremely regrettable that Jeroen was able to confirm several people so early into the game, although Didi did still manage to mislead him for awhile.

I liked the game overall, just explaining what went wrong with it. Living and learning.
