"Welp, now that I've given them one post to LD, might as well say I'm town in every post"

Wow what a useful post, thank you mister admin
Stating the "I'm town" in that particular post was literally relevant to the followup conclusion you blithering idiot so shut your fucking mouth if you don't have anything to add

how sure are u that I’m town :hm

Not at all to be honest, you could've very well bussed Darth considering you like to boast you 'perfected the art of bussing' and you were one of the major wagons anyway

And I don't find your playstyle so far to be overly town-WAD

plus iirc, you were like 'okay Ruffruff is very likely town' last phase, obviously you can't continue that now that he's been LD'd so you've turned on that but still, might be telling how you tried to push that d1

I'd say I'm light red on you :hm

100% not mafia :blobhide

i think this is the first comment on my supposed allegiance relevant to my position in the Darth wagon :hm

Now might be a good time to reintroduce that Hot Fuzz theory to discredit me.
Instead*

Anyways im down to lynch sin tomorrow

Anyone else?
:catdude

This feels kinda random, other than including Ruff for easy credibility.

Why i'm voting for Psychic should be obvious.

For Mr Waffles, I just feel like something is off about his posts so far. In my game, he was such a coaster, that I actually was able to set my drinks on him while I was watching football yesterday.

He seems a little more aggressive to me, but reading waffles is like trying to read the stars to find your horoscope.

I agree that we should speculate on other people as well.
But I also think it's reasonable to say that you might be trying to steer the lynch away for Ruffruff.
I won't get any scumread for doing it, you will. That's the way it is.

Being scumread isn't the end of the world. When I'm doctor, I don't want to be "cleared". You're looking at it as "if people think I might be scum, that means I'm doing something wrong" and that just isn't how it works. People can accuse people of being scum for doing the right thing (being too confident that someone is town, for example) or be more townread for being wrong.

It's inevitable that you'll get suspicion for being on the wrong side of something earlier, that's bound to happen.
You don't have to draw more suspicion by being obsessed that you aren't cleared.
I do think you're trying to put in work for town, but that's kind of sullied by checked if you're cleared yet every few posts.

I got mislynched more times in this year than you will be in your lifetime.

I am going to bitch about it and I don't care what rational reasons you have to think I shouldn't bitch about it. I have a right to be pissed off at this point.

Yah but this is one of those games where if you get mislynched it’s cuz as my idol would say

“Congratulations. You played yourself. :yousmart

This is probably true. While this strengthens your claim to right to bitch about it, it also strengthens my case that not being so focused on it is likely a part of it.
I am going to bitch about it and I don't care what rational reasons you have to think I shouldn't bitch about it. I have a right to be pissed off at this point.
Okay, granted you won't listen to reason, but that reasoning is still rational.
You have the right to bitch about it, but people also have the right to lynch you over it.
If you are content with getting lynched but maintaining the right to lynch, carry on.
If you want to break that cycle, the burden's on.

I can't change my personality.

There is something about me that makes people like to bully me. Has been like that ever since I was a kid. They look at my face and get the sudden urge to act like assholes.

I can't change my personality.
Fair, but you can play around it better. I'm N1 or N2 kill a fair amount of mafia games, but I've just gotta deal with that.
I think most flaws can become boons eventually in mafia.

Maybe that's true, but you can stop it from snowballing. Get your head in the game and try the best you can. If you still get mislynched, keep a record so you can show people in other games that they read you wrong.

Ok you know what, screw it.

If the cost for not being lynched is not speaking up every thought that comes to my mind, then it's not worth it.

I've been extremely honest ever since I started playing mafia and I'm not going to start doing otherwise now.

If you guys are content with lynching me every single game for that, go ahead. Just tell me in advance so I don't bother to come here defend myself.

So yeah. I will defend the shady individuals. Because I can't look at a bandwagon and not try to find out how it could be manipulated. That's my playstyle and I'm sticking to it.

So just sheep and don't ever say it out loud when I think you might be wrong?
No, it's good to say if you think that we're wrong.
But you might get scumread for it, just like you might get scumread for not doing it.
People reading you as scum =/= you shouldn't have done the thing

It's a game about suspecting people, so you can't 100% escape suspicion by following any set of rules.

So just sheep and don't ever say it out loud when I think you might be wrong?

Why do you keep making this about me...?

Darth was clearly not a bad lynch, and is not a bad lynch given his player history until he makes more than the bare minimum but you were like “NUH UH GUYS LYNCHING INACTIVES IS SO EASY LETS LYNCH SOMEONE ACTIVELY PLAYING THE GAME”

Then today

“OK SO RUFFRUFF WAS FOUND TO BE LYING ABOUT BEING TOWN BUT WHAT IF WHAT IF”

I don’t see how this has ANYTHING to do with sheeping me or following me or hero fucking worshipping me and building a shrine to my greatness.

You have just been flat out defending people of questionable morality in this game, so you can’t expect anything under than rightful suspicion if both end up flipping scum. My involvement in this has absolutely zero relevance. :dank

Categorically false because we all lie to some degree when we’re scum.

Unless you’re Atlantic Storm or Katsuargi, I guess. :dank

That's like, your interpretation man.

From my point of view, I have 4-5 mafia suspects, and one of them has been said by others to be the LD. So logically I should put you at the end of my list.

Besides, I noticed I was the only one calling you scum last day while half of the player base was calling you town, so it's easy to assume they just caught some hint I didn't.

And if they didn't, I'm just playing safe,
So if RuffRuff just posted his whole mafia team and said they were town you would belive him?

Nah, that's BS and you know it.

You also never said why you suspected me, so state your reasons.

Dude.

You like to suspect people for disagreeing with you.

It's your thing. Mostly when the suspicion in hand has to do with game theory (i. e. miller claiming).

You build a meta that you think it's right then spend the game coaching people to follow it: who to vig, who to lynch first, etc. And when they say no, you add them to your scumlist.

You have been doing this consistently ever since you came back from hiatus in 2015. I even made a rule that when I'm scum I'd try not to disagree with you (I'm not following that rule anymore, so don't bother). And it worked. You never lynched me in games where I did not disagree with you, because you were too busy pushing for the ones who refused yo follow your "rules".

I'm not even mad, just stating one of your flaws so maybe you become aware of it or something.

@Dragon D. Luffy
All of these things are fine.

"If the cost for not being lynched is not speaking up every thought that comes to my mind, then it's not worth it."

I entirely agree. You should still speak your mind even if it might get you lynched.

"I've been extremely honest ever since I started playing mafia and I'm not going to start doing otherwise now."
Good. If you're town, continue to be honest.

"So yeah. I will defend the shady individuals. Because I can't look at a bandwagon and not try to find out how it could be manipulated. That's my playstyle and I'm sticking to it."
That's a good thing to have.

This is where we diverge:
"If you guys are content with lynching me every single game for that, go ahead. Just tell me in advance so I don't bother to come here defend myself."
You won't be free from suspicion. If you defend someone that's scum, you'll be sussed. Maybe, as town, it was the right thing to do with the information you had, but we can't ignore that it could have been the right thing to do as scum at that point too.

No I don’t?

I even listed examples of players who have disagreed with me in this thread yet I don’t suspect them.

Stop strawmanning.

Also, every time a player is town and they find another player that disagrees with them or suspects different people or people you read as town, the more likely anyone, not just me, is going to be at the very least suspicious of them if not outright openly suspecting them.

That’s just the psychology of the game.

As a townie you trust that other town can empathize with your perception of the game. If you read Player A as Town but Player B as scum and Player X has flipped reads you’re naturally gonna be like.

:scoobysus

Or at LEAST :thunk

It's mostly related to game theory.

You are like that LoL player who spends the first 5 minutes correcting the lane choice of the people in their team, because you can't accept someone would not follow "THE META".

I don’t follow Game theory very much since the large bulk of my play, at least the town aspect of it, is emotionally charged and has to do with tone-reading and intuition.

In fact, I had quite the argument with Rotaretilbo in Viole’s bleach game because I chastised him on expecting people to play a psychology game like logical automatons.

People are illogical all the time in this game and you have to account for it as town.

It isn't really.

I am bad at catching hints. So when someone implies they caught one, I assume they did. If I spend all game asking it why they know someone has a role X, I'll do nothing else. Even when I do they usually refuse to tell me.

If they are wrong or lieing, it will surface eventually. Right now I have another 4 players to focus on, anyway.

Also I already said I suspect you because you voted for Darth when it was safe.

I'm being pointed out as the automatic target for day 3. By multiple people.

Automatic prime suspect. Assuming Ruffruff does flip red.

In the mean time you might get investigated or lie detected to be cleared if you’re town. Or the lie detector/cop finds another guilty hit. Or someone manages to be straight up more scummy than you.

Which shouldn’t be that hard, because truth be told I actually am starting to buy into the idea that you are town and have just made some very silly decisions this game.

Why would you fucking belive convicted scum?

So in the scenario I pressented where RuffRuff lists his whole mafia team and says they are town the game would be over for you?

Is that the only reason?

Of course your example is such an extreme one that is ceases to be related to the situation that is happening in this game.

If a mafia player lists his whole team, I'd be more worried about the debate about blacklists we are about to have in the convo thread, then about catching hints.

Her aggressiveness in coming after me seemed genuine after reflecting on it a bit. Melodie can get by for a while without actually scum-hunting, so putting herself in a vulnerable position, that would look really bad on her if I was killed and people saw my town role, makes me think she is town.

Less confident mafia players will usually just circle the drain of the lynch wagon, or throw a vote on a buddy to get town cred. So her going out on a limb like that is a foolish move for scum to make.
