When I got fired from my first job, in 2017, my boss told me I spent too much time on my phone. I was mostly playing mafia.

I will never let that happen again. Ever.

And now in 2022 people keep trying to make me feel bad for not being active during work hours, though, every game I play. Here, and in the syndicate. I tell someone I will miss EoD and suddenly I'm scummy for that.

But I won't give in. This game is not more important than my life. It can't be.

Fuck off you all. I dont want to play mafia ever again.

    And if it's real? Are you going to suddenly re-evaluate a stance on vanya (vanya was the one with a peek right or am i misremembering)? I doubt it tbh. Seeing the peek is real means absolutely nothing and just wastes a town lynch and a player, seeing it's fake, while a bit more meaningful because you might've found a m/m thing if they were dumb, probably also means nothing. Do you really think mafia would say they peeked their partner town this early? Yeah probably not.

    Idk it just feels like either way that's the absolute worst way possible to go about it because regardless of the ddl flip it doesn't actually mean nearly anything for the alignment of vanya.

    Also because there's like an 85% chance it's real because in what world is mafia saying they peeked mafia as town on D1

    This is such BS. Don't blame others for your issues. We all have lives, and we all have to balance that. Nobody here was saying you shouldn't be at work, or shouldn't pay attention at work.

    When you popped in, dropped a vote and left and said you might not be back the the lynch, are we supposed to just assume what you're saying is accurate? Or are we supposed to look at every post in the thread and try and sus out if there's any ill-intent? As a veteran of mafia, you should know full well that your post could be scum trying to hide.

    Your insanely defensive personal posts only make it sound worse.

    He's been in the thread twice now since saying he wouldn't be back, and neither time did he reference anything about the game. He could have changed his vote, or just simply said "Yes sorry I'm at work, but still think Draekke is scum" and left his vote.
     
    I am going to be bold and attempt a feat that I deem near impossible actually reading alwaysmind.

    Personally I feel like he is actually town. He has the tendency to be very similar regardless of factions which is why he is someone I never give confidence to on him but I have noticed his questions do tend to be a little more thought out as town and kind of at least early on getting those impressions for reasons I can't fully explain to myself lol.

    I normally ignore appeals to emotion since town and mafia seem to do them equally often(and often genuine regardless of alignment)

    Vanya is pretty obvious town and he peeked DDL

    I think DDL has been super null and we could consider him basically a zero poster. I dont find super defensiviness scummy. it might even be slightly towny in a vacuum,

    voting DDL is prob a mistake. voting flower is prob a mistake too, but flower's play is dogshit if town, vanya's play is fine(maybe optimal) if vanya is town.

    there are like 5+ stray votes and this is the one u focus on because you’re saying its purely an OMGUS and not for like 5 other possible reasons

    But Vanya is literally vouching for DDL saying he has info on his role and alignment. If DDL were to flip scum, it would immediately out Vanya as well if Vanya were lying about this.

    I think some factor of trust in Vanya's claim would be wise here unless you think DDL is worth flipping even with that.

    I got reprimanded on my home site because I wasn't modding like I use to. In college, I over-dedicated a lot of my time to mafia. But now, I was focusing on work and not the thread, and crap went down in the thread and the mafia site moderators were just overly focused on how I modded in the past and how I should have been there. My punishment was I would have to co-mod or help someone out with their game and do the vote counts all the time and crap.

    Well yeah, life happens. I stopped modding because I don't have time to deal with that crap with a 40 hour work week on my feet. And the mafia moderators were just being so much more restrictive that I just didn't feel like I could be my same creative self anymore.

    I like playing with you. But if you want to go, I do really understand this vibe and good luck with your work.

    There was an innocent child role in favorites once and no one trusted it not even a little bit just saying.

    Also not very hard for mafia to say player x is town outside of their faction to buy towns trust which is often worth more than having a "confirmed" towine. Which is why it the combination of good old scum hunting and abilities that need to used not just one.
