Fun fact once there was a game where Oreo made a big deal about he did not want to scumhunt and nobody could force him.

Nobody took him seriously except Nighty, who then spent over 5 pages arguing back and forth with him.

Final result: Oreo is town. Nighty is scum.

After that, I've learned to keep a watch at people who spend way too much energy arguing with posters who are spending zero energy playing the game.

Bada just spent a bunch of energy arguing with Melo. I don't see the point.

Points made. I think low activity posters are common targets for scum who want to seem like they are actively contributing.

As scum, calling out an active poster is essentially putting your neck on the line and if your responses aren't sharp you might find yourself vigged.

Kira you make a lot of posts about a lot of people, but you never commit to a case. Even your vote on John Wayne felt weak, since you gave no arguments for it.

Who are your top 3 scumreads? And more importantly: why?

Yeah, I was just about to start typing up why it's weird how Kira is just popping in every hour to say "____ hasn't posted/____ isn't playing to meta". imo highlighting an inactive player isn't contributing. Do an ISO or point out something they have said even if little that tilted you the wrong way.

Are you asking us or the thread? Anyway, obv not gonna say myself and I will never lynch LG so... even in faves when he was enemy mafia GF I didn't want to kill him. I'll look into Kvothe in a bit,
You see for the best part of the last 3 years I always tried to joke Lynch Lord genome because of how subpar his town play was when compared to his scum play
I don't think I ever managed to Lynch him tho :dank
Also he somehow became a good player so it is not even a good policy Lynch nowadays :smh

Eh I disagree. Dont have a real read on Ratchet yet atm, but the way he's been lowkey posting resorting mostly to one-liners reminds me a LOT of his play in Get Good 3, where he was town.
Some of the stuff he said caught my attention tho, but nothing too incriminating.
Im really unable to read ratchet
But on manga maid I distinctly remember he being pro active
I don't think I have ever played with him as town here ????? (I mean this can't be true right ?)

you've played with me for the past couple games, why are u acting like this play of mine is new? bit disingenuous aint it :catnoms

who are your scum and town reads? Last I recall, you had a Juan ISO that didn't go anywhere

I've answered before Rem, Laix, and announcer are strong town reads.

Scum leans: Juan (as you know), Go D. Usopp (the rolefishing he was doing with the list was out of nowhere and very strange. Even when called out on it, he continued)

Don't blame me for the ISO going nowhere. No one wanted to talk about it. We're just content with one of the most active players in the game claiming they have no time to catch up and fluffing in 90% of their posts.

I see Juan more of an apathetic townie than him trying to coast as scum tbh. Similar playstyle in favorites at least.

Who would you place your vote for today?

It's interesting to me that you don't seem to believe Juan is capable of this output as scum. The "he's an apathetic townie" defence doesn't really sell me here, it feels like a lazy way to townread someone. Kingkiller, are you trying to solve this game?

You aren't the first to say that, but honestly that makes me even more worried that people brush it off so easily. Then again, I can't make meta judgements because I don't know people's metas. I am just looking at this game in a vacuum. I'd vote for one of those two, but seeing as there is no support for Juan I'd be happy with Go D. Ussopp. Multiple people called him out on the rolefishing. If you mean in regards to other current popular wagons... I don't even know if there are any at the moment. Votes are pretty spread evenly.

I mean you say this, but Juan has almost 60 posts. It's argue that's pretty active by most definitions, yet it is deceptively so. I feel like his activity levels themselves have been pretty high-level, though his productivity levels on the other hand, have not been.

I worded it badly. I meant more active in conversation. 60 posts of fluff is expected of him.

That doesn't mean to say he's a solid townread, but there are people who are behaving much more strangely this phase in my opinion.

If this is the case, why do you seem so concerned about the liklihood of your own lynch? And why are you disregarding a Juan wagon when even spread of votes implies no clear wagon has formed, and thus new ones are always viable?

I've had a lot going on the last few months. Also massive role madeness games aren't my favourite.

Still you slandering my abilities has me salty.

Also I'm really not liking how indecisive and flip floppy you are with your votes and shit.
It is something I may or may not do as a town
I vote different people trying to fish reactions
Then again if I was anything aside from mafia I would likely do the same

I have the most votes. Obviously when talking about people I'm going to vote for, that's going to exclude myself. I'm not disregarding Juan, I'm the one who brought him up, but there was literally zero discussion about it til now.

Trying to solve the game on day 1? Not really, no. Call me lazy then but its the sense of feeling I got from Juan and his playstyle. I feel as scum he would be a little bit more committed.

i'm gonna keep playing this way no matter what any of you say :catnoworries

so do something productive, drop a vote if you're that set and follow one of the cases that will actually matter :catwalk
I mean I'd hope not. Day 1 and so on I can excuse it, but I'd hope if you're around when the numbers decline then you'd boost your productivity somewhat. Though on second thoughts, I don't think your response actually covers that, so this is kinda neither here nor there.

I mean sure, but if you find there is no discussion about it, that's when one would assume you'd start pointing your questions in that direction, no? As in, you force said discussion. I don't believe you've done that?

Well, at least you're honest lol.

Is that not what we're doing now? I did try to discuss and I was brushed off with "that's his meta". I can't respond to that because I don't know metas. The ones who used that argument were Kvothe and Hayu (and Laix, who I believe to be town).

Broadcast message:
@Broadcaster - I mean not really. Of the 48 hours this Day has been up, I've spent 17 hours working, 16 hours sleeping (well, kinda) which leaves 15 hours to do anything at all. This isn't quite exact because I sleep less than 8 a night and I'm working now, but the point being that even with favourable timezones it's not so easy. Plus, you do get to queue your posts as well.

Broadcast message:
@Broadcaster - We're not arguing. I legit even ended one of my posts stating that it's not really valid because as I was writing it, it dawned on me what Juan was getting at.

I mean fair, my point was I feel it could have been done earlier, but I guess that's that dscussed.

@Broadcaster - Hero, so far. I think his reaction to Shizune's defence of Melkor was incredibly forced, and unless I've missed something I've seen no reason to change from there.

Hero wanted me and rem gone (rem was the first person I had pinned as town), so I'm not opposed to this. He did, however, bring up a good point when a bunch of people were focused on hunting inactives. He was really the only person even discussing Rem at that point and said things along the lines that people were too easy to trust Rem just because he was posting a lot. I disagree on Rem, but I agree with the overall sentiment. Could you quote the post you're talking about?

I quoted it earlier, if you look through my posts it should be in there. I'd do it myself but I'm caught between three things at once at the moment, so I won't be looking for it until later.
